It’s why I swim all the time and can qual for PJ Indoc at 49…
A reconductor is when there is already an existing power line, and you are replacing the conductor.
Typically with taller poles and larger conductor.
(e.g. from 35’ to 50’ poles & from 1/0 to 4/0)
Often times it’s done with a conversion.
A conversion is where a newer, and higher primary voltage will “take over” the existing feed. Fed via a different substation.
Most primary distribution is 34kV, 13.3kV, 12.47kV, & 4kV.
The higher voltages are able to take more load and distributed over a greater distance.(and are newer construction)
While one can use aluminum in place of copper, one must considerer the additional size necessary for the same amperage to flow. There are also physical advantages to copper.
They have inflicted this cancer on America its all in the plan to create kaos and a breakdown in society
Half of the bridge is completely dark because these thieves have broken into the metal panels.
As Biden calls it creating jobs and boosting recycling jobs.
The copper was stolen from a substation in LA.
They got grounding straps.
The repairmen wouldn’t service the substation until the power was turned off.
As a result, traffic lights were off, and crashes occured. Hospitals had trouble, and more.
