Barkley, who has been a decent conservative including publicly, was commenting more on Scott than Trump.
He was saying the notion that a black man kissing up to Trump (and he did say “I just love you” - almost like Joe Namath trying the kissing on the sideline!) and being VP choice was not going to send black men to the polls for Trump.
Basically he’s right.
Trump seemed to make some inroads with blacks, but still not nearly enough. They are so ingrained in welfare-gimmedats that it’ll take ages to get them at least reasonably 50%.
Johnson was right.
I think a lot of black men like Trump. But the black women are a lost cause.
Charles is not a conservative.
