CHICAGO (CBS)-- A father has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his three daughters and wife inside a home in Tinley Park on Sunday.
Maher Kassem was charged with four counts of first-degree murder, according to the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. At his initial court appearance, prosecutors an argument led to Kassem using two guns to first shoot his wife and then, after stepping over her body, his three daughters.
The victims were identified as Majeda Kassem, 53; twins Halema Kassem, 25, and Hanan Kassem, 24; and Zahia Kassem, 25.
Officials said Kassem shot his wife, Majeda, seven times, and each daughter was shot twice. The Kassems' 19-year-old son was in the home but was not physically injured. The women's bodies were found in the basement.
Authorities also said Kassem was cooperative with police and admitted to the shooting. Kassem indicated the fight started over the family's finances.

You've got to wonder about the accuracy of this article when it clearly states that two of the victims were twins .. Halema and Hanan .. who were 25 and 24 years old respectively. How do you have twins born a year apart? Or was it actually Halema and Zahia who were the twins?

Now you know where in the population the recently published increases in purchases of firearms in the U.S. have been going. I was afraid of this.

It took two people to write an incomprehensible article..probably got the twins names out of order in addition to saying 3 daughters and wife and ending with 4 daughters and wife. I don’t know what water they drink in Chicago but it can’t be good. I would assume that the females in the family didn’t do as the “males” said - father and son - maybe went to the mailbox without their hijab on - hence, the women needed killing.
No details about finances in the article - maybe too much money spent on fingernails - pedicures?? Who knows? I always did think it odd that their “religion” is against so much of our Western world but the women do love their long polished nails...and face makeup.
Too critical? I’m allowed - I think!
The only part I like about Islam is they do not like all this woke BS.

This has all the earmarks of an honor killing spree. The wife and daughters were digging the West way too much. So they had to go! Allah says so!

I didn’t see the ENTIRE article at first - I must have gotten to an ad and thought that was it..Went back and looked and there’s much more there - not that any of it is any more clear.
I see there will be a service but I don’t think I’ve ever seen/heard what a Muslim funeral service is like....I probably can do without knowing!
