A big problem for guys like Kirby and Ed Bastian, the CEO at Delta, is that they perceive that their customer base lives in liberal bastions such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Boston, and therefore these airline CEOs have to represent themselves as “woke” so that it won’t hack off their customers.
Therefore, I take their public statements with a grain of salt; they’ve got to talk the talk on crap like electric airplanes and sustainable aircraft fuel, while at the same time running their airlines based on a reality check.
Yeah you have a point. CEOs need to learn how to make their customers happy and being able to dress up as a woman and act in a sexualized manner can be valuable skills.
