The party caucus team reports at site at 5 pm.
We open doors at 5:30 here.
We check for your ID, residence, voter registration.
If you are not a registered Republican, you will have an
opportunity to do so to become eligible to vote.
We will be ‘marking’ eligible voters on their hand for easier ID at the time of voting.
(There is concern that Democrats will arrive, change party, and vote for Nikki to reduce Trump’s lead or to defeat him. An interesting scenario, but not sure it will happen at our caucus (maybe in Iowa City, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Davenport, etc.)
Due to the frigid weather [-7 at 7pm] there may be some leeway granted to the 7 pm assigned time to close the entrance doors.
Shortly thereafter, there will be a 3-5 minute time for speakers for each candidate to present their comments.
Then vetted voters will vote for their candidate.
Then candidate votes for each precinct will be tablulated with observers from each campaign observing the counting.
Once the counting is completed and verified, then each precinct has a ‘reporter’ who electronically submits the results for each precinct to the Iowa GOP headquarters in Des Moines.
These ‘results’ should be pretty much wrapped up around 9 am.
Tonight’s caucuses are merely a first step towards the final election day in November.
We are in perilous times fraught with many known and unknown threats.
We must stand tall and support OUR Republic which is being attacked on so many fronts.
The Enemies appear to be many, but they are manipulated by Evil.
It IS our calling to defeat these Evils.

How can Democrats try and screw this whole thing up? Can they register as Republicans and then vote for Niki en masse? I saw this suggested on a forum. Must the caucus goers prove they are Republicans to register?
