Well, of course they are. They are the UN.
This is almost Babylon Bee level material. The British cannot (or will not) stop illegal immigration. And they ignored Muslim grooming gangs for years.
Yet they feel the need to investigate what’s going on in far-away Gaza. And not on the Foreign Ministry level. On a local police level.
I wonder what’s next. Maybe they will assign a constable to look into how California is spending its bullet train money.

We can all thank the emerging institutions of the post-WWII era for concern for war crimes. I’m not arguing that moral atrocities don’t occur during wartime, but what institutions are we going to empower to go after nations who commit these purported crimes? It seems that super-national institutions are the only way to prosecute said crimes...and quite frankly I don’t like empowering super-national organizations.
Those will be the cases that even Sherlock Holmes can't solve.

How ironic, given the crimes that Britain committed in the Palestinian Mandate during the time it ran the whole show over there...not to mention the undeniable crimes that Britain committed over hundreds of years as a colonial power.
As a small example of that, why are the Pyramids and the Sphinx in Egypt? Because the British couldn’t transport them to a museum in London.
