DeSantis Floats Having Biden Struck Off the Ballot in Florida, But Predicts Maine Decision Reversed by SCOTUS
Breitbart ^ | 29 Dec 2023 | JEFF POOR

Friday, during an appearance on FNC’s “Your World,” Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, reacted to Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows’ decision to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s primary ballot.

DeSantis suggested Florida could remove President Joe Biden from his state’s ballot for his alleged mishandling of border security.

However, the Florida GOP governor said the act by Bellows was not an appropriate interpretation of the 14th Amendment and would ultimately be reversed by the Supreme Court.

“Well, obviously, to have one executive branch official unilaterally striking someone off the ballot is not an appropriate interpretation of the 14th Amendment,” he said. “We could have — in Florida, what, are we going to have Biden struck off the ballot because he’s allowed an invasion of 8 million people, including enemy nations have sent people in? This could just be — end up being a tit-for-tat. So I think it’ll get reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court. I think it’s more of a stunt that you have a very liberal person in that position who’s just trying to play for cheap clicks.”

“But, ultimately, I don’t think it’s grounded in a proper interpretation of the Constitution,” DeSantis added.

Please be advised the rats have plenty of time to play this game. It’s their DNA. They have nothing to lose and they have everything to lose. We need a political Hiroshima.

“mishandling of border security”

Is that what it’s called when you stage an invasion?

The RATS remind me of Charlie. They’ll sit behind a bush on the side of the trail for 9 months and 17 days waiting for a GI to walk by to shoot.

Democrats act.

Republicans react.

You don’t need to be Sun Tzu to figure out who wins every time.

It would give Ron a boost in the polls if he had his Secretary of State to remove Biden. If it’s going to get reversed by the Supreme Court anyways it won’t make a difference

Please DeSantis - DO IT. Do it under the guise "most people KNOW Biden took bribes" quote YOUTUBE sources...(no more proof needed than what they've come up with against Trump) then move to have Biden removed from the ballot.

It seems the only ways liberals understand 'wrongs' are when they happen to them. (ZERO empathy for anyone other than themselves)>

How do we know this? Because the 'Martha's Vineyard' tactic worked and woke up most Blue Cities ... cities that pretended to be Sanctuary cities.

Just DO IT - and DO IT NOW.

Right, have the State Legislators pass a decree whereas Biden has not performed his sworn oath to protect this country from invasion and direct the SOS to delete him from the ballot.

I constantly denounce in this forum the laziness of the media on legal issues. They simplify things to the point of falsity. Thus the public doesn’t understand even the most basic principles such as the distinction between criminal and civil cases.

It doesn’t help if politicians do the same thing. DeSantis is a lawyer and knows better: SCOTUS will not overrule the Maine SOS. It does not have jurisdiction over state administrative decisions. Rather, it only has jurisdiction to entertain a Writ of Certiorari from the decision of the highest court of a state.

What will happen in Maine is, either before or after SCOTUS tosses out the CO decision, the Superior Court of Maine will issue a Writ of Mandate directing the SOS to put Trump on the ballot. After SCOTUS rules,
Any appeal from such a decision would dead in the water, based on the newly-minted SCOTUS precedent.

Is this particular legal issue a bit complicated for non-lawyers? Sure, but is it better to state a flat out falsehood that SCOTUS will overrule the Maine decision?

Pro means first

and in some instances incl. this one-

going first can backfire.

this has been unpopular even among Democrats.

Come on, to have an elected Republican criticize the left is about as close to victory we can get.

The Sh*tocrats would love this.

They want to get rid Xiden but want the Republicans to do it for them. Additionally the republicans lose a popular candidate and the sh*tocrats lose an unpopular one. Think about it.We want Zhou Sh*tbag Xiden on the ballot

Isn’t every last registered confederate democrat in America GUILTY of Insurrection just for being in the Party of Slavery that attempted to secede and then Declared WAR on the rest of America, What about their role in the KKK, They Created it, shouldn’t that also qualify as Insurrection? They literally did commit Insurrection???

For eight years I’ve been hearing that Trump has an out of control ego

I disagree. My view is that he is aware of his gifts God gave him and his own development of his talents and successes.

DeSantis on the other hand. Who cares hat he thinks about anything other than governing Florida

Go home.

He will not be president. Ever.

“I constantly denounce in this forum the laziness of the media on legal issues.”

It is not simple laziness. It is a well organized information control conspiracy.
