I kinda agree with you & Ted. Although Swift does not lack talent, she does lack the depth or maturity of earlier singers -- Judy Collins, Joanie Mitchell, Gracie Slick.
True, they were also liberal to boot. But they had a certain womanhood about them. The fact they appealed to male listeners may show their artistry. Taylor Swift seems to appeal mainly to teenage girls. Sadly, she reflects our current cultural miasma, which the Democrats have been exploiting.
I’ve never heard much of her stuff but I have heard a few of her “songs”. Then I’ve seen pictures and video clips of her shows. Looks like some of that drag queen stuff to me.
