I believe Trump was referring the huge leftist mobs on the streets of urban areas of the country - not political opponents. The media is twisting the word for propaganda.

What Trump said is not controversial, but self-evidently true. The media does not want to publicize Trump telling the inconvenient truth bout the current leftists.
This is the part of the cycle with the news media downplays negative items about Trump, to help him win the nomination. They will stop ignoring it once he has the nomination locked up.
