The Constitution forbids the federal government land ownership except for military bases, light houses and roads leading to them. Why don’t the states just take all other land back.
If you notice the government takes land rich in natural resources.

Tell that to the government who doesn’t recognize the Constitution at all.

Absolutely have noticed. Live in the desert Southwest and we deal with this all the time.
