I am female, but yes, jewelry is about its only use. Gold is like bitcoin, only valuable if the buyer thinks so. It has no intrinsic value whatsoever. It’s like a case of the emperor’s clothes, and if we had a nuclear or other disaster would be totally worthless in practical terms. Gold would only be worth something to jewelry makers or other people that thought it was cool for some reason.
