An American Muslim went viral on Monday over her response to leftist activist Susan Sarandon.
Last Friday, Sarandon joined pro-Palestinian protesters at a demonstration in New York City. She was captured chanting, "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," a Hamas rallying cry that celebrates the extermination of Israel.
Additionally, Sarandon appeared to celebrate the rise of anti-Semitism in America while minimizing the Muslim experience by regurgitating the narrative that America is not a safe place for Muslims, the New York Post noted.
"There are a lot of people that are afraid, that are afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country," the actress told her fellow protesters.
But according to Asra Nomani — an influential American female Muslim and former journalist — Sarandon could not be more wrong.
"Let me give you 'a taste' of what it 'feels like' to be a Muslim in America," Nomani told Sarandon in response.
First, Nomani began with her dad, who earned a PhD from Rutgers University and eventually was awarded a full professorship at West Virginia University. "That’s what it means to be Muslim in America. You get your full rights," Nomani said.
Second, she turned to her mother. "Being Muslim in America meant she got to live FREE with the wind in her hair," Nomani explained. Being a Muslim in America also meant Nomani's mother could start a business and achieve financial independence, something Muslim women in the Muslim-majority world rarely experience.
For Nomani personally, being an American Muslim meant she could travel without a male chaperone, a rarity in countries where Shariah law is enforced.

Never a fan of hers, too late for the stupid Rocky Horror movie.
Hope the moronic adolescent boys who drooled over her breasts are grown up enough now to understand she is a bigoted fool. Chanting for the murders of Jews who want to live in peace in a homeland is not a good thing.
Sarandon in Glamour Feb 16, 2017 — “The thing that’s bad about breasts is that you have to choose between having a mind and having breasts. It’d be nice if you could have both.”.
I remember what happened to her in Team America (lol)
I do not understand Hollywood. Supposedly Hollywood is run by leftist Jews. I thought leftist Jews were supportive of Israel. And yet, it appears that the Jews of Hollywood are in support of the genocide of Israel. It just doesn’t make sense.
Susan Sarandon has three children. I wonder what her attitude would be in her last gasps of life were her child ripped from her body while both alive and killed by a Hamas terrorist. This obscene act was committed while the child and mother were alive. They killed the child first and then the mother. They wanted her to see the horror of it all.
If you wouldn’t believe in raping little boys and girls, and marrying goats and killing anyone else, that doesn’t believe in your pedophile driven cult leader. I might be able to stomach
you, but until then . Go back to your own land and let the civilized world alone!
“...you have to choose between having a mind and having breasts.”
A mind doesn’t succumb to gravity.
“...adolescent boys who drooled over her breasts...”
I must agree she does have lovely pair of cannons!
Sue’s an old gasbag that needs attention.
She’s tedious.
What scares me about being a Jew in this period of history is not the fact I can defend myself in the event I am attacked, but the fact that if I did defend myself I would be the one arrested.
Hamas commits savage barbaric atrocities. Muslims cheer the rapes and murders. Islamophobia rises. Sounds rational to me. I will profile every Muslim as a potential terrorist. Especially the women. They’re black widow spiders.
To the Left, you are not a Jew. You are a White Oppressor.
She’s turned into a regular nuclear meltdown.
SOMEONE has to take these bonehead, Liberal ‘actors’ to school!
Robert Heinlein:
“[T]here seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance. They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously—after all, if an athlete is paid a million or more a year, he knows he is important ... so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be ignorant and sub-literate every time he opens his mouth.”
