Arnold Schwarzenegger is reportedly getting sued after allegedly hitting a bicyclist with his SUV in West Los Angeles back in February, according to TMZ.
Sources say the woman, named Joanne Flickinger, was riding a bike and swerved into Schwarzenegger’s lane, leading to the accident.
Law enforcement figures told TMZ that Flickinger made a left turn in front of the former California governor before he had a chance to hit his brakes. Flickinger, who is named in the new lawsuit, was reportedly rushed to the emergency room after being and now claims that the 75-year-old “Terminator” star is to blame.

I’ve seen some really dangerous stuff done by bicyclists that think THEY OWN THE ROAD. It’s time to require all bicyclists to register and carry insurance, only if they want to use the same roads that cars and trucks travel on. Bikes on private property, separated bike paths, and parks should be fine.

Several thoughts. Bicycling in an area with more $$$ is a way to ‘earn’ a few dollars. The people with $$$ could want to settle quickly. If there is a dashcam video, might be of assistance.
Bicycles ‘owning the road’ entitlement attitude. There were times when I lived on my bike. College, work, day off, everywhere. I have a car, I was getting ready, in shape for long bike road trips, like down the coast of Kalifornia. The idea that I ALWAYS had the right of way never occurred to me. In fact, whenever I felt, recognized danger, possible danger, I got off the bike and walked. There is no metal surrounding the bike rider. Yes, sometimes it was dealing with idiot drivers, unaware drivers. Either way, the ‘owning the road’ attitude does not prevent collisions.
