The Mullahs of Theran declared war on the U.S. (big satan) and Israel (little satan) from the inception of the regime, and the U.S. failure to formally acknowledge that fact in every way has been idiotic.
It is said that democracies should go to war reluctantly, and fiercely.
But since 1945, we have gone to war casually, and half-heartedly.
If Iran is truly a threat to our security (and maybe it is), we should issue them a quiet warning. If they ignore it, Biden should ask Congress for a declaration of war.
But that’s it. Otherwise, stay out of it. We are not the world’s policeman.

I have no desire to die in a nuclear war fought over such stupid things as Iran / Israel / Ukraine.
I would prefer my military expenditures to be used protecting the US Southern border, and deporting the 10 million Biden-era illegals (and all other illegals to) and restoring some sense of law-and-order to America.

Vance is a political doofus. What make such a pronouncement? It doesn’t matter what we think unless surrender is a palatable choice. Does anyone need reminding that Iran sincerely wants to erase a free and secular US? How many times does that need to made clear? While we may not wish to wage war on Iran,
Iran has no compunction against waging it against us.

"Martha, any scenario that puts US boots on the ground in Iran would require an Act of War passage by Congress. We are not anywhere near that measure of involvement and it is unwise for you and I to even speculate on a question solely designed to create clickbait."
