What did folks think “Build Back Better” meant?
To build back, you must destroy first.
Notice how hard companies try to get you to use their credit cards. They make good money on those rates.
The major credit cards also charge a (1 to 3 percent) transaction fees. Guess who pays for that charge?
Me and anybody that uses cash at most places.
I need to new lawn Tractor/mower. The JD is 24 years old.
I am thinking about buying a used Exmark. I have also been thinking about buying a used sports car.
Now, I believe I will wait until next year. Wait until people are desperate to dump stuff.
Well, biden has accomplished all of these except campus unrest.
Indeed. They are totally deaf and blind to the consequences of their ideas and legislation. Trying to patiently explain to them anything to the contrary is like talking to a brick wall. And when the bad consequences occur, they turn silent, pretend it doesn’t exist, or outright lie about how good things are going.
Hey, gun control will cause crime to go up, not save lives. Obamacare won’t make things cheaper, it’ll make health insurance more expensive. Higher taxes will stunt or stop economic growth and cost jobs. Raising the minimum wage will result in higher prices, putting minimum wage workers in the same or worse position than what they were in before. Restricting drilling for oil will only result in higher gas prices and higher costs of living overall. Allowing people to enter our country illegally will result only in more crime, poverty, diseases, and be a drain on taxpayer resources. Rent control results in higher cost rent for everyone. The climate change movement is just a scam to rob you of your freedom and money. Hiring people based on the color of their skin or their sex will result in incompetent workers and causes more hatred and racial division. Etc, etc.
Ever notice how everything they propose always benefits their side? More programs, regulations, spending, taxes, bureaucracy, largesse, etc. It all enhances their control and power, which is what they are all about.
IIRC-—UNDER CARTER-—PRIME WAS 22%.
Take a look at the news of the Anti-Israel protests on campuses all across the US
"IT'S A CHECK-TO-CHECK WORLD!!!"
I have known since the crash and burn of Jimmy Carter that DEMOCRATS CAN’T FIX ANYTHING. It’s so frustrating to see something so patently obvious and yet tens of millions can’t see it at all.
I think I’m going to pull the trigger on either a Kubota or JD compact tractor, they still have 0% financing. The new car is most likely going to wait until rates come down. My E90 only has 110k and my previous 4 all easily surpassed that number.
Economists and Most Americans Agree: Biden’s Economy Is Going to Get Worse Next Year
_____________________________________________________
Meh...he’ll just borrow and spend enough money to selectively buy off 50.1% of the electorate. It’s a winning strategy every time.
My Craftsman is probably close to 18, needed new belt pulleys but engine seems fine. Unlike the 11 year old Toro timecutter, engine stinks, leaks, mower deck all cockeyed, ugh.
Yep, that’s their modus operandi. Use taxpayer money to buy votes. Simple but very effective.
SaveFerris :” BidenDepression 2023 / Spring, 2024 “
The Sons of Liberty : “In the immortal words of Bubba (Slick) Klinton - "It's the economy, stupid.".
My hope is that it is bad and painful enough that Trump gets swept in with a landslide and he is able to rescue our Country.”
(From the article):” In the most recent Economist/YouGov poll the share saying the economy was getting rose was 54 percent.
The share saying it was getting better was 17 percent. The share saying it was staying the same was 22 percent. “
”The shift upward in the share saying the economy is getting worse occurred sometime in late spring and early summer.
From February through May, the share of people seeing the economy worsening ranged from a high of 49 percent in February to a low of 45 percent in April.
Since June, the share has never fallen below 51 percent.”
”Economists now see that this year’s economy is likely to be better than they expected—but they are forecasting less growth for next year.
Back in January, a Wall Street Journal poll of economists found that they expected the economy to grow just 0.2 percent from the fourth quarter of 2022 to the fourth quarter of 2023.
The October poll found economists now expect 2.3 percent growth this year.”
”The forecast for GDP next year, however, has moved in the opposite direction.
Economists in the October poll forecast the economy growing just one percent next year.
Back in January, they were forecasting 1.9 percent growth for 2024.
This suggests that many economists agree with the public’s view that the economy is getting worse rather than better despite the recent better-than-expected performance.”
If there is a Massey Ferguson dealer near you I would suggest you consider that brand too.
I ended up buying a model 1735 cab tractor.
I use that for plowing my driveway in the winter and mowing the field in the summer.
IMHO it was a better machine for the money when I bought it three years ago.
I also looked at the Kubota and JD.
Part of my decision was the dealer is less than four miles from my house.
They also treated me better than the other two.
Once you decide on a particular model see how much they sell for on Tractorhouse.com
Sometimes it is cheaper to buy it from another dealer and have it shipped to you.
Also I used that when I negotiated the price with the local guy.
Interesting, there is one in Albany NY and another 45 miles away, but I think they are friends of family. I'll check it out.
Count on it!
I don’t know what size you are considering. Keep in mind that unless you go with a large L-Series Kubota you will not be able to lift 2000# /ton.
Even mine only lifts about 1700#. The other thing is that these tractors are really only good at mowing straight. The turning radius is about 25’. So, they are fine for mowing a field with a 72” finish mower on the back, but they will not replace a zero turn or 42” riding lawn mower.
If the Kubota dealer is closer I would go with that brand. Another couple brands to consider is Yanmar and Mahindra.
Yanmar are very good tractors. They make all the diesel engines for John Deere. They have been making diesels for boats forever.
Mahindra are good tractors but they are made in India. You get a lot of bang for your buck. They tend to give you a lot of the extras for free that JD & Kubota charge for. Things like a blue tooth radio. Front and rear cab lights, an extra PTO on the back to run a wood splitter or chipper.
One of the biggest thing you are buying is the dealer. I was personally more comfortable with the MF dealer. The Kubota one didn’t even return my calls. They had a take it or leave attitude. The JD would have been $10K more to get the same size and features as the MF.
Last thought that they can lie about when you are trying to compare is weight. My MF 1735 cab tractor weighs 4000#. You can not lie about STEEL.
