Chesebro rejected a plea deal.

His case is very different from Powell's. She was doing her own thing -- mainly as a P.R. stunt (since she wasn't representing anyone on a case, as far as I can tell).

Chesebro was very much a part of the Trump legal proceedings, and is facing the "fake electors" sham charges for doing things that are totally legitimate under the law.

Powell pleads guilty and agrees to testify in future trials.

Looks like the DeSantis supporters were right about Trump going down the river.

As a DeSantis supporter I would not rule Trump out as down the river yet. But as I've always told the Angry Trumpers - they are fools for putting all their egs in Trump's basket.

Angry Trumpers and the democrats benefit most from DeSantis's falling poll numbers.

So, does testify against mean falsify testimony against or just provide testimony in a trial against Trump?

I think a lawyer like Sydney might know the difference, is there a difference?

This isn’t bad for Trump? She agreed as part of her plea deal to testify against him and the other codefendants. This is how RICO cases work - you bring charges against a bunch of people threatening them with decades in prison and one or more will flip and incriminate the others in exchange for leniency.

Yes because it makes so much sense for Kushner to sabotage the trump brand and all his in-laws.

You know that Kushner’s wife (Trump’s daughter) doesn’t believe the election was stolen, right?

If there is incriminating testimony, but what if she doesn’t actually have incriminating testimony?

But he agreed to Kushner as his handler—and Kushner put all those subverters into his admin.

Not so much was really unintended IMO.

“The best”? Her source for her claims was a memo sent by a woman who claimed the the wind tells her that she’s a ghost and that she was “internally decapitated”.

What does THAT mean? She's already admitted her guilt and as a condition of her plea bargain she will have to testify AGAINST Trump and the other co-conspirators.

To be completely honest - I'm not sure.

I do know that we each have our own Truth. That's why President Trump constructed a shrine to the Sacred 1A called Truth Social. We can't let the DS dominate reality with how "they say it is". There needs to be a place where alternative perspectives can join the tapestry that forms the real reality to make it truly inclusive.

Sidney may have a surprise the government doesn't like when it comes time to Truth her testimony.

She had to tell the prosecutors what she was willing to testify on prior to her plea deal. Presumably they liked what they heard or else they wouldn’t have offered her this sweetheart deal.

Exactly. The prospects for fixing the 2020 election ended when the legislatures did nothing to correct the problem before (and even after) Election Day.

If it were up to me, I would have had the legislatures in some of those states convene in December 2020 and vote to approve a slate of electors for an obscure candidate who was on the ballot but wasn't going to win.

Guilty of helping President Trump in any manner. I’m surprised the penalty hasn’t been elevated to execution. After all, that’s why the degenerate Derp State has been calling for Trump to suffer.

Looks like the DeSantis supporters were right about Trump going down the river.

And yet the numbers of those "DeSantis supporters" seems to be declining by the hour.

If so, Powell can then ask to vacate her plea and conviction on the basis that if Trump violated no law, then neither did she.

She can't make that argument if she wasn't Trump's attorney (she wasn't) and her charges have nothing to do with the validity of the charges against Trump and his campaign team.

Powell, who acted as one of Trump’s lawyers after his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden, was charged with racketeering, conspiracy to commit election fraud, conspiracy to commit computer theft, trespassing and invasion of privacy, and conspiracy to defraud the state.

I think that is a weird way to describe that she may have been partially inaccurate. But I guess she read the jury and knew what they would do.

Maybe, maybe the prosecutors sweetened the deal in order to get a news story out. A veneer of guilt, ect.

If they really had the goods, would they have given her a light sentence of misdemeanors?

If Sidney tells any other “Truth” other than what prosecutors want to hear, they will immediately revoke her misdemeanor plea bargain deals and slap her with the original felony charges.

She’s got to perjure herself.
