Citizen Watch Report ^

Posted on 10/17/2023 9:26:06 AM PDT by davikkm

A resurgence of citizen activism is making waves on Capitol Hill. Conservatives across the United States are rallying behind Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as he vies for the position of Speaker of the House.

Breitbart News reported that conservatives are “melting” phone lines with calls to GOP members of Congress, urging them to put an end to internal divisions and unite behind Jordan.

“I haven’t seen anything like this in years,” one top House GOP aide told Breitbart News. “They are literally melting the phone lines. Some offices’ numbers are permanently busy. Thousands and thousands of people are calling their members of Congress demanding Jordan for Speaker.”

The following Members of Congress are actively trying to sabotage Jim Jordan's campaign to become Speaker of the House!

Several of them even going so far as to collude with Democrats!

Call their offices and DEMAND they support Jim Jordan NOW!

Don Bacon (202) 225-4155 Mario Díaz-Balart (202) 225-4211 Carlos Gimenez (202) 225-2778 Frank Lucas (202) 225-5565 John Rutherford (202) 225-2501 Mike Simpson (202) 225-5531 Rob Wittman (202) 225-4261 Steve Womack (202) 225-4301

Ya’ll are being played
Jordan has agreed to fund Ukraine and Israel in exchange for the Speakership.
Jordan also has dual citizenship

Another curmudgeon here on Free Republic . Nothing is ever good enough. It never will be with people like you. Dual citizenship is still citizenship. My mother had dual citizenship. She was still all American.

The thing about the post by Extremist is that it simply isn’t true in the first place.

At first blush, he seems a good choice, given his aggressive stance toward dems and libs. But, then, there was Hastert, Boehner, so...

I’m not keeping track. Some Republicans have voted Scalise, and I heard at least one vote for McCarthy; as I watch now, there are 15 ‘other’ votes. But Jordan is going to need all of the Republicans - democrats will all vote for Jeffries.

I sat through all 15 votes for McCarthy. I don’t think I’m going to do that this time - and hope I don’t have to.

“Jordan also has dual citizenship”

I have no use for people with dual citizenship. Pick one and be loyal to it.

Jordan is his name, not his country of citizenship.

:-P

"They are literally melting the phone lines. "

Stupid people have completely changed the meaning of literally to be figuratively.

My apologies to Congressman Bilirakis...he was at a funeral, but is a Jordan supporter. Mea culpa.

Most of those eight are just symbolic support for others. They will come around and vote for Jordan, especially when they hear from their constituents.
