There are still plenty of car trunks and file cabinets in abandoned buildings that can be checked for surprise ballots. The Democrat lost by 27 points. That'll take a lot of car trunks.

Louisiana has a unique political culture but it appears that the Democrats are in shambles statewide. Kentucky and Missouri are border states where the Democrats are in eclipse. None of the three states are likely to be taken by the Democrats next year. The Democrats have focused on the South Atlantic states. With the exception of South Carolina, none are reliably Republican. Florida is moving in that direction, but as long as Kemp and Ratzenberger hold power in Georgia, the Atlanta political machine will be almost impossible to overcome.

Congrats. 546,828 to 275,527
Fortunately our holdouts did not sink the primary win.
- Waguespack 62,280
- Schroder 56,656
- Hewitt 18,426
A runoff in this race would be worrying.
