Sandy the little Puerto Rican Tequila and Taco Princess might want to behave herself.
The first program announced by incoming Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson was called “First We Get The Money.”
All my working life (since I was 16), whenever the Dims say they were going to increase taxes on just the rich they wound up increasing my taxes too.
For those who didn’t learn, the Federal income tax only affected the super wealthy. That’s why it was so popular. The rich paid their tax once a year on March 15. Time passes and the Federal government needs more taxes, so the threshold is lowered. Come WWII and not only does the threshold start touching the working average man, but wages are withheld from salary, ie. you owe the money as soon as the money is earned.

It will be a win-win for everyone!
I posted this a while ago:

Could it be that inflation-causing debt by the Federal Government amounts to raising taxes? If so then the deep state gets what it wants without having to actually raise taxes.
NYC deserves no police, no function rule of law, and loss of wages. Once they get the top 5 percent, they’ll go for 80 percent. The thing is that in New Jersey the job that pays $110,000, pays $175/200,000 in NYC because of transportion, parking and taxes.
