Nice song. Kind of reminiscent of some early Enya.
I really want to like it, but the endless sameness of the drum machine really annoys me as do the endless synth tones. The mixing is off, I think. The vocals need to be a bit more forward.
Electronic music has a certain bland sameness with every single beat and note matching every other beat note — I think the missing harmonics you get from real instruments is the problem. This has been the complaint about electronic music from the beginning. I’m surprised they haven’t figured out how to make synth music more realistic.
