Are 500,000 dead and wounded in Ukraine enough? Apparently not.
The Hill ^ | 09/02 | DOUGLAS MACKINNON

Posted on 09/02/2023 10:21:51 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

The United States government estimates that approximately 500,000 soldiers in the Ukrainian and Russian militaries have been killed or wounded on the battlefield to date.

Shockingly, the real numbers are surely dramatically higher as both nations are known to deliberately undercount their casualties. Sorrowfully, those numbers don’t include the thousands of Ukrainian civilians killed or the millions who have fled the country.

“Russia, the invading army, determines when the war ends. Not the folks being invaded.”

Oh, and there is no such silly rule. Another platitude.

The surrendering force determines when the war ends.

Otherwise the South would have won the Civil War.

“Somehow you don’t know that Russia has demanded that nato must withdraw from every single former soviet block country.”

Specifically, the Baltics?

Only the most corrupt of neocons would think it a good idea to risk existential war over the friggin’ Baltic countries.

Putin is depleting NATO stockpile of weapons with Ukraine war. He has no reason to stop war. After another million Ukrainians are killed, war will end.

7 if 8 candidates on debate stage are all neocons.
Nobody said a word about the surging national debt.

EVERY country. Deal with reality. That was the Russian demand when they invaded. Not just the Baltics.

President Trump had 4 years as POTUS to resolve this conflict. What did he do? Nothing, basically.

Trumps fault! Neocons are so transparent.

The problem with that is that Russia does not live up to agreements. It is bound to expand its borders and that is what it will do. Once it takes over Ukraine it will go onto Moldavia and so forth until it is stopped. It will be stopped by war so why not stop Russia now and save lives.

Russia is already talking about doing in Moldavia. It also claims that Alaska was illegally sold to the USA. It even claims that Finland was historically a part of Russia was not). surely you can read between the lines.

“That is the most one-sided take on this war.”

What on earth are you talking about? Russia invaded a peaceful country so yes, it is one sided but not the way you think.

“EVERY country.”

Be specific.

Your making an exaggeration.

What Former Soviet Republics are now part of NATO?

You know the difference between the Warsaw Pact and the Soviet Union I’m sure.

go do your own research you make everything up.
The quotes from Russia official statements were posted here dozens of times.
I think it’s approximately one dozen countries. Tell me why should Russia be given a single additional country to conquer.
You and your ilk constantly say Russia was forced into this war.
But yeah you would justify giving them more countries who’s forcing them into those?

So could Zelensky So could Biden But they won’t, the moneys too good.

Literally not the case. If Zelensky laid down his arms, Putin could keep attacking. The only vote that matters is that of the invading army.

The South was the belligerent party - they waged war on the United States starting from their attack on Ft. Sumter. When they ceased to fight, the war ended.

The Global American Empire overthrew the Ukrainian government in 2014, then the new government terrorized majority Russian provinces for years.

On top of this NATO continues to expand, even as it’s reason to exist is gone. And if you think NATO is purely defensive, don’t make me laugh.

That is the most one-sided take on this war...

It's literally the case. The Russian Army invaded Ukraine at Putin's direction. It can march out of Ukraine at his direction as well. I'm confident the Ukrainians could guarantee the safety of Russian territory if Russia agreed to retreat.
