Early this morning the Yucatan buoy not too far from the storm recorded this in knots:

2023-08-28 02:40 am S 40.8 56.3 13.1 - 6.2 S 29.37 - 79.7 85.5 79.3 - - -
That’s 40.8 knots sustained with a gust of 56.3 or
47 mph sustained along with a gust of 64 mph now thats before this thing even gets going it has gusts near hurricane force,
this bears wathcing,IMHO.
