Every Russian I know - and I've known quite a few - is an assh*le, Ayn Rand-worshiping, rapacious, amoral capitalist as are there Youcraynian cousins.
Watching "The Hunt For Red October" and "Red Dawn" too many times and believing them to be true can really cloud perception I guess. . .

This is not like a Musk crash, or early NASA crash. Crashes are allowable on experimental probes. Hell, Musk truthfully said that he expected his most recently crashed rocket to crash before he launched it (although that didn’t prevent the Luddite Freepers and the Marxist press from gloating).
This, on the other hand, is an unqualified disaster.
That's the point, I'm glad you see it. Russia, like Ukraine, is a backward third world country. The Kremlin stooges on this forum imagine Russia to be some great power and Putin some brilliant genius, when the reality is the country is a nest of backwards infrastructure and low functioning alcoholics somewhat poorer than Mexico.
Ukraine has no space program, nor any plans for one. They’re trying to survive an all-out assault by their former masters, who used to give the US a run for its money in the cosmos. Now they can’t even land an empty ship on the moon, though they managed to fire missiles at a pizza shop in Herson, a maternity ward in Mariupol, an all-night movie house, I forget where, and other useless war crimes.
Well it appears they have not captured any alien anti grav vehicles to reverse engineer. 😏
