The largest disaster of the space race isn’t close, but isn’t listed. The launch pad explosion of the Soviet’s N1 wannabee moon rocket July 1969. Wiki says nothing about fatalities in its terse coverage but IIRC about 200 ground crew died. Estimated yield was roughly comparable to Texas City blast. Some debris found up to 6 miles away. Their manned moon program never recovered.

America has sent more citizens into space than any other; so yes, we’ve had more accidents.

Overall, the Apollo missions were enormously successful. Americans walked on the Moon SIX separate times.

It is a crying shame that you always have to correct these despot-loving Putinists who spout the exact same leftist doggerel that libtards do.
