Legal scholar Jonathan Turley has overruled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis over the charges against President Donald Trump and 18 others.
As Slay News reported earlier, a Georgia grand jury has indicted Trump, charging the 45th POTUS with felony racketeering and numerous conspiracy charges.
In addition to charging Trump, the grand jury returned an indictment on Monday of 18 other people as co-defendants.
The indictment mentions 30 unindicted “co-conspirators.”
Turley, a professor at George Washington University Law School, blasted DA Willis over her get-Trump case.
“What’s concerning, particularly about this is that Willis didn’t really show any semblance of restraint,” Turley said on Fox News.
“She indicted everyone for everything she could think of.
“It is sort of the Jackson Pollock School of Prosecution.
“She threw it all against the canvas.
“And I think she is hoping that some of these other co-defendants will flip.
“I think partially she went with the RICO charge is because she’s quite familiar with it.
“This is a prosecutor who made her name bringing RICO state, RICO cases.
“Also, it allows for this type of overarching conspiracy.
“I mean, she is listing over 160 acts.
“They’re often phone calls, meetings, tweets.
“She just calls them all criminal.
“She says that they all were knowingly false.
“And with that broad brush, she’s able to indict everyone and bring in 19 people into that courtroom.
“That’s the benefit of using a racketeering approach,” Turley said.
“But it also increases the danger for the country in terms of how we will handle contested elections in the future.”
The full list of the indicted is below:

Rudy Giuliani, Trump lawyer

The scope of the alleged conspiracy is massive. Indeed, every call, speech, and tweet appears a criminal step in the conspiracy. District Attorney Fani Willis appears to have elected to charge everything and everyone and let God sort them out.

DA stands for Dumb Ass.................
Except for Jordan, Comer and a hand full of others the House Republicans all seen to be Wussies.
Really? Overruled?
That's a bit of hyperbole ...
Do you have a link to this?
If she is filing indictments on everything then I don’t understand why it took her so long to do so.
1984
1984 leads to 1789......................
YES it does
It’s just the Stalinist left dusting off their ‘50s practice of show trials.
Before you click... Kemp didn't SAY he had Presidential ambition. He implicitly revealed it by the way he bashed President Trump and came out in support of the indictment. That's the only reasonable induction I can arrive at, especially in light of the fact that the Republican field are all lightweight sweater-vest types in one way or another, except for (obviously) Christy and Ramaswamy, who... approach with caution, let's just say.
Their boss won’t let them actually do anything. He tweets a lot but doesn’t do jack.
If Jonathan Turley is so certain this indictment is not only garbage, but harmful to the Republic, why doesn't he volunteer to defend Trump? Or is he just an academic?
Why doesn't someone in the GA Republican Party have a nice talk with Kemp and get him to issue a pardon to Trump? I know that Kemp doesn't seem to like Trump, but if he has any ambitions after being Governor (read as either Senator or President), he won't be able to do anything with all the Trump supporters in GA against him.
I want Turly as Special Counsel on Biden case.
Fani: Ooooooh this is so much fun. I’m getting goose bumps. Let’s find some more excuses to indict. It’s.....addictive.
Yes, I think his statement is really condemnation of Trump, but mostly a defense of his states horrible election process which is a reflection on him as leader.
Aren’t they all under indictment?
Neither Turley nor Kemp are on the list (there are few people in the U.S. who are not on the list).
‘Splains much, it does.....................
Georgia governors do not have pardon power....................
