I don’t care what his religion is. It’s still better practiced than whatever it was Obama claimed
I have and there is nothing about him being “all in” on the vaccine. In fact, a simple search reveals just the opposite. It’s perfectly fine to oppose Vivek’s candidacy, but slandering him with lies is contemptible.
At this point in time, I think the person with the best odds as Trump’s running mate would be Kristi Noem.
Cowboyusa is a close second.
He’s a Republican but not a MAGA. Two separate parties at this point. He’s a two second distraction for the deep state. 🙄
I can’t link to an article, because I post on a Phone, but there are other threads that have the links.
“And then other Freepers say, as a practical matter, no court ruling will ever prevent an American citizen born in America from running for president. Those Freepers take the position, that the courts will never intervene to prevent anyone from running for office, if they are American by birth.”
That depends somewhat on who is running for president. I suspect that were Vivek to become president and were he a threat to the security state, you would suddenly find very great interest from the Legacy Media and the Left about his “natural born citizen” credentials. If they find the right judge, anything could happen.
When he started out his campaign I liked him because he was very specific about the things he wanted to change. Lately he’s gone more generic with broader platitudes - though he is still right over the target. I guess he has to adapt for the audiences and the time limits imposed by interviews and speeches. I prefer detail but it is what it is. Still like the guy, though he hasn’t won my vote.
Red herring. Not since JFK was President was a candidate’s religion made much of an issue. This is probably because, once they get in office, we almost never see evidence of their religion influencing their decisions one way or the other. Unless Ramaswamy has shown himself to be some kind of Hindu fanatic, this should not be an issue.
> Like who? [for VP] <
Great question. I’ll be stone-cold objective here. The ideal VP candidate would be a conservative woman, and possibly a woman of color. And she must have a very good reputation in a large swing state.
I don’t know who that person is, yet. But Trump should be looking for her.
Oh, am I playing distasteful identity politics here? You betcha. Trump absolutely MUST win in 2024. The Republic simply cannot survive another Deep State puppet. So, yeah. Time for us to play dirty.
I think Kari Lake is a good choice.
“Vote for us. Because they stole our elections”.
There is no precedent; except that Obama was born in the USA to one American parent and one Kenyan national.
Some Freepers believe citizens the 2A means we can own bazookas and tanks. I am not saying they are wrong, just sayin... lots of opinions.
I agree. Obama and others seem to believe the 14th Amendment somehow did away with Art. II, §1, cl. 5 natural-born citizen.
The Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment, also known as the “birthright citizenship clause,” is a general clause in statutory construction terms. On the other hand, clause 5 of Art. II, §1 natural-born citizenship clause is a specific clause.
In most cases, a general clause can not govern a specific clause. This is true in the specific case of the Presidential Qualification Clause of Article 2. In this case, unless Congress has specifically stated via its constitutional authority that “All citizens at birth are natural born citizens” the court MUST give each clause a separate legal effect.
I like her, some on the thread are weary.
You’re going to need an establishment candidate on the ticket as the VP. That’s the only way the GOP leadership would even allow them to run as Republicans.
I think it’s rather unlikely that a Hindu from India has much of a chance in the general election. Unlike blacks (or half blacks like Obama) they don’t get any bonus points from White guilt.
I think you’re right.
Just like the Deep State dictated much of Trump appointments like Session and Barr.
This being true……. Look for another Pence like person. Maybe Christie? I’m serious.
Noem, I think. Donalds is a little too raw.
This guys a non starter, now that Desantis is effectively done, folks will continue to bounce trying to find someone... and with each bounce some who don’t want Trump will decide compared to the rest, Trump’s not so bad.
This guy is an absolute non starter, once its common knowledge this guy funded a company who wanted to have the government to have access to and use everyones medical records to track EVERYONE during Covid, they’ll move on... This guy’s a non starter.

At this point most folks aren’t aware of this, once they are, most will say no thanks, and move on.
