People need to look at Vivek as an ally of Trump, not a threat or a competitior. He is the closest thing Trump has to an idelogical ally. Whether he ends up being Trump’s VP or not he is going to have an outsized influece on the next Trump admin. Kind of like Steve Banon/ Stephen Miller.

Vivek has a close relationship with the Soros’

I have read about this guy and read his books for almost two years -- long before he filed.

As a young man he accepted a scholarship sponsored by a Soros sibling -- did not know that sibling or George from sic-um. Perhaps he met Soros after he became head of his first multimillion dollar company, who cares.

All the other stuff is stupid. WEF tried to name him, he declined. Sure the guy is a Hindu and of India subcontinent abstraction -- if its a cultural thing you can come out and say it, you don't have to repeat this invented crap.

He might be a ascending but he doesn’t ascend to the level of being an Article 2 Section 1 natural born Citizen. He’s not one. His parents weren’t naturalized citizens when he was born.

That horse left the barn 15 years ago. I yield to no man in love of the Constitution, but if the other side is going to get to nominate whomever they wish on the basis of winning, then we have to accept their rules of engagement.

I do not plan to vote for Ramaswamy, but for different reasons.

DeSantis has imploded. The legacy GOP and the WEF need a new “Trump-killer” candidate. Vivek will also collapse when the public finds out that he’s armpit-deep in the Big Pharmascam industry. Anyone want to join an office pool to see who they’ll try after that? I’m taking the Jersey Whale for $50.

I very much hope Donald Trump picks Vivek as his running mate.

It would be a thrill to see all the heads exploding around here. All the silly Freepers who claim Vivek is not qualified, not an NBC, and who claim he is tied to Soros and the WEF.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s sad when Democrats turn their backs on the Constitution when it gets in the way of their ambitions. It is heartbreaking when a Republican tries to do the same thing.

Any first-year law student who studies statutory
construction knows that a general clause, such as the 14th Amendment Citizenship clause, cannot govern a specific clause, such as the natural-born citizen clause of
Article II. They also know that each and every word in the U.S. Constitution has a specific meaning. Unless Congress has specifically stated “all citizens at birth
are natural born citizens, “the court MUST give each clause a separate legal effect.

In this case, the difference between natural-born citizens and statutory citizens is those born to citizen parents and those that are not.

Oh. And the fact Vivek is Hindu. That’s a deal breaker for only Trumpers also.

Watched him interviewed last night on a Fox show.

He made straight forward statements but stated he “doesn’t listen to his advisors and consultants “ when they suggest otherwise.

Lost me right there. Why have advisors and consultants (redundant) then?

The Constitution does not define what a “natural born citizen” is. That provision did not keep Obama out of the White House, nor did it prevent Ted Cruz from running for president. The case for Ramaswamy not being a “natural born citizen” is much weaker than that for Obama, with his questionable birth certificate, or Cruz who was born outside the US to a father who was not a citizen.

To be eligible for the presidency, among other things you must have resided in the United States for at least 14 years. Well, in 1928 Herbert Hoover ran for president. He had resided in the US for at least 14 years, but NOT the last 14. He was overseas doing relief work.

There was a minor dust-up over this. Was Hoover eligible? The Constitution is a bit vague on this. So the courts let the voters decide. The voters decided Hoover was eligible, and he was elected.

The same argument could be made with Obama.
