What do you do when you're not branded, but you aren't a man?

Live under a rock, I suppose.

"Live under a rock, I suppose."

At $104K x year, it will be a nice rock.

He is going to have to live with his decision for the rest of his life which should for any man with a conscience be eternal hell.

“Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders that I yet have heard. It seems to me most strange that men should fear; Seeing that death, a necessary end, Will come when it will come.”

Julius Caesar, ACT II Scene II by William Shakespeare

His actions were not criminal, per the law. This was a CRIMINAL case, not a CIVIL case (which, I believe, is in the works).

Several witnesses testified they had no idea where the shots were coming from, though many of those said they THOUGHT the shots were coming from OUTSIDE the building, not inside.
Which is what the defendant had said.

It’s a sad case. But the jury came to the right decision for a CRIMINAL case.

But he's still a coward. And a crook, too. $104K a year for doing nothing?

Not guilty of what? Certainly not cowardice.

Our criminal justice system exists in large measure to dissuade victims from “self-help”: exacting private revenge. Now that this fool has been exonerated, we should not be surprised if the parent of a dead child acts. One wonders whether jurors considered that.

Cowardice is not a crime.*

But in some cases it should be...

*For a civilian, anyway. [10 U.S. Code § 899 - Art. 99. Misbehavior before the enemy, only applies to military]

His boss, the one who trained and ordered him to stand down, should be the one on trial.
