The point of this Soviet style exercise is not to "jail" Trump...although, they undoubtably would be just fine with that as well.
The point is election interference.
(just like they did with 2022, only, via a different tactic)
They hate him, and those that support him, so much...and are terrified of an essentially unrestricted 2nd term and what he would do/expose, they are willing to do this latest iteration of an unprecedented attack on the office of the Presidency, to drive the news narrative so that enough fence sitters, soccer mom's and check pants country club republicans drop any and all support for him.
The fascists in D.C. know full well that without the "middle" they can easily cheat in the states' elections (again)...if it's needed, to defeat him (& us).
I mean, who in their right mind would vote for an "indicted" candidate for president after all? /s
The commies in this country are in full attack mode not just against Trump...but against the rest of us (J6 witch hunt/trials/convictions, 80k armed IRS agents, angry parents labeled domestic terrorists, etc, etc. etc).
