On Thursday, a June 5th video resurfaced from the official “DeSantis War Room” Twitter account that uses fake AI-generated images showing President Trump “embracing” Dr. Fauci. The ad aims to attack Trump for not firing Dr. Fauci sooner, and they use the fake images to attempt to make their point.
Fauci was the best.

Tim Poole (a political moderate with a popular Youtube channel) has been all over this. He says this is a really bad move by team DeSantis and he’s right.
I wish it hadn’t been this way.

Yeah, AI-generated 100%. Now, I don’t take issue with satire or ridiculous memes as they remind me of the ubiquitous political art/cartoons that have been around forever. These AI images make it more difficult to tell without a critical eye. At first glance and without further examination, it registers in the brain as reality. It can be used in a much more subtle and manipulative way and quite effectively.

I knew little of DeSantis 6 months ago. I thought he might be a good 2028 prospect based on the little I did know.
The more I learn now, he will definitely not be on any preferred list of mine for 2028.

At this point it appears he’s made the decision to attack trump in exchange for a few hundred million in leftover campaign cash.
