Christina Pushaw, “Rapid Response Director” for Ron DeSantis’s 2024 presidential campaign, recently argued that immigration “has been a net positive thing for the country,” and that she is “in favor of Dreamers” – the class of illegal migrant championed by President Barack Obama.
Pushaw stated in an unearthed Zoom call (below) that immigration does “not need to be better enforced, or regulated,” but rather, that “the law needs to be better because right now it’s extremely difficult to immigrate legally even for qualified people, even for people who are working hard which many undocumented immigrants do by the way: they work and they pay taxes.”
“I think… we need to streamline the system so that it’s easier for people who have a real reason and desire and will contribute something to the USA to actually be legal,” Pushaw argues further.
“I am in favor of dreamers, so people who were brought as kids by their parents illegally, they grew up in America, they have lives in America, I mean they’re Americanized, so yes they should be citizens,” she adds.

This follows the recent reports of Pushaw doubling down on her strong support of Volodymyr Zelensky and the war in Ukraine.

I really hope Governor DeSantis distances himself from them. But if not, then we’re doomed.
Take everything about DeSantis from the National Pulse with a grain of salt. They edited the audio to claim DeSantis was going to move to the middle after the primary when the full audio actually said the exact opposite. These guys are going all credibility in the primary, and they’ve done such good work on the Covid scandal.
Perhaps one reason why Jared Kushner is no longer part of Trump’s team.
Legal immigration is deliberately corrupted and painful so as to encourage illegal aliens to come in — so as to make elections more corrupt.
Anyone encouraging illegal practices must be barred from political influence. Not holding office — no where near a sitting politico. Ban them.
America needs a few decades of no immigration (illegal or otherwise).

Bull. Decades ago it was estimated that the cost of illegals was between $400 and $600 bi.lion dol.ars when all the costs of illegals was added up, ie direct and I direct costs such as lost jobs for citizens, a family losing their bread winner because of death by an il.egal etc.

The claim that illegals are a net gain for the country is a flat out lie. They are a financial drain on this country to the tune of apprx 1 trillion per year (now) when all costs are factored in.
What is Trump going to do about the Dreamers? He had four years. There is what is right and what is doable. At this point we have such a mess I don’t know what to do. One thing I do know is there is no way you’re going to able to send the Dreamers back.
I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt that she means legal immigration since illegal immigration is not immigration. Bringing over engineers, and scientists through legal immigration has been a benefit.
