“Catastrophic” must be the mandated buzz word for the media.CBS used the same term as CNBC and I’m sure others .

In DC-speak, a reduction in the rate of increase in spending is a “cut”.

Excellent observation, and explanation of the silly games they play there.

When Republicans promise to stand firm and hold the line,

We know what's coming.

Too many people are swallowing the “default” line. What no lifting the debt means a balanced budget.
Of course the swamp critters will fight it tooth and nails.

How hard is it to just REFUSE to raise the debt limit? Congress could do it and demand that all federal revenue not spent on defense be used to pay off the debt.

And when the Social Security and Medicare checks bounce, expect a violent uprising.

Four more years of Jao Xiden followed by eight years of Newsome, the dems must be overjoyed. Fair chance they’ll have a dem congress and senate too. You are witnessing why the ‘red wave’ never happened last year, voting for the lesser of evils is over.

You should join the INGSOC Party like I did. Oh wait, you were already a member and didn’t know it. Blindness is illuminating.

We will have to waitto see what is in it. If McCarthy did not keep his word on the 87,000, he is through.

Cancel the debt.

Have no fear, it’s not bad, it’s awfull!

“The debt ceiling hike in their legislation was capped at $1.5 trillion, while the deal McCarthy cut with Biden was expected to be nearly three times that figure.”

“We will have to waitto see what is in it. If McCarthy did not keep his word on the 87,000, he is through.”

This is a debt limit bill, not a budget bill. Rumored about a 20% cut on the 87k. McCarthy is just beginning.

Don’t worry, Wall Street will soar on Tuesday if there’s any kind of a deal, even a horrible one. The debt will rise and things will get back to ‘normal’ for another two years. Then we’ll go through this same old bad theater again.
