It’s true. They started with 15 dollars an hour for workers in 2016 and it worked. Most states are paying that. They are better at messaging the we are.
Gates could pay it.
How about Democratic party members confess to their party’s past crimes over slavery, then invoke the “crime” clause of the 13th to volunteer as slaves to ‘repair’ the harm done by their political predecessors. It would be equitable.
Anything to cause division.
I will happily pay reparations to anyone who can show that they were ever my slave. I will even pay reparations to anyone who was ever my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, or great-great grandparents’ slave.
If one of your ancestors was ever one of my ancestors’ slave then you can take it up with them, but based on my genealogy research, none of my ancestors ever owned any slaves.
The Democrat party should be the first in line to pay reparations. They were the ones who owned slaves, until Republicans took their slaves away.

You misunderstand. The amendment is establishing that former slave owning states are not owed any money by the federal government over economic losses due to emancipation of slaves. It has nothing to do with reparations.
Black slaves never contributed anything near that % of U.S. GDP. Chinese laborers made the entire Industrial Revolution possible, but despite being treated like utter crap, they aren't whining for reparations. Instead they make more money than whites and are likely to own CA Section 8s the Blacks live in.
It’s also the first payment.

Tell them NO and let the fun begin. The time is here when we need to cut them loose from all government support and assistance. Learn to stand on their own two feet and join the 21st century and modern civilization.
And if the debt ceiling “deal” is not completed, then all those EBT cards, WIC cards, etc., will not get loaded June 1st. And we know what that means, not one damn dollar has been set back for bad times by these people, so rioting, looting and robbery will go through the roof!
