Today, President Biden announced his intent to nominate Dr. Monica Bertagnolli as Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world’s preeminent biomedical research organization. Dr. Bertagnolli is a world-renowned surgical oncologist, cancer researcher, educator, and physician-leader who has the vision and leadership needed to deliver on NIH’s mission to seek fundamental knowledge and promote human health.
Statement from President Biden: “Dr. Bertagnolli has spent her career pioneering scientific discovery and pushing the boundaries of what is possible to improve cancer prevention and treatment for patients, and ensuring that patients in every community have access to quality care.
Biden’s handlers neglected to mention that the new NIH puppet is a Pfizer flunky, just like the last one.
Biden’s primary competitor, with whom his handlers refuse to permit a debate, stepped in to properly complete Bertagnolli’s introduction to the public.

Per Open Payments, a sunlight organization administered by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Bertagnolli was awarded $290.8 million from Pfizer spaced out across 116 grants between 2015 and 2021.
“Does this mean Dr. Bertagnolli is personally corrupt? Not at all. But it does mean that she will probably represent the viewpoints and priorities of the pharmaceutical industry. That is how agencies are captured,” RFK Jr. added in a sub-tweet on the same thread.

I don't agree with a chunk of what RFK jr supports, but I admit he appears on the right side of arguably some of the biggest threats to the people of the US.

Off Topic: For people in my age group (67), who remember seeing RFK on TV and in newspapers, the family resemblance is almost spooky. Take a quick look. RFK Jr.’s head is more square shaped and his ears are much bigger than his Dad’s were, but otherwise, the face is an exact copy.
On the flip side of the coin, I hear Jr. may have continued the classic Kennedy treatment style of women. His ex-wife
the late Mary Richardson Kennedy did away with herself by hanging on May 16, 2012. Some assume she was troubled by her husband’s fooling around, plus, she already had addiction problems with alcohol. That sounds like one of Ted’s ex-wives. If RFK Jr. stays in the race, expect this to come up for discussion and speculation.

I don’t think RFK Jr will do the attacking (at least not directly) if it comes to that but has unfortunately ruled out a joint ticket. But, yeah, I agree if they run against each other Trump is going to have to up his game on the issues.

At the very least RFK Jr. presents a direct challenge to Biden “Operation Chaos 2.0” I’ve heard some criticism of him on environmental issues from people who are “Conservative” but who are also in bed with the energy industry.
Fetterman won here in Pennsylvania as the “common man” the GOP needs to get on the side of working, taxpaying people and stop sucking up to the big banks and big business interests.
