Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) will travel to four countries overseas as part of an international trade mission as he prepares to make a decision on whether to enter the 2024 Republican presidential primary.
DeSantis will travel to Israel, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. The Florida governor will meet with business and government leaders such as Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, and British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, a press release detailed.
“This trade mission will give us the opportunity to strengthen economic relationships and continue to demonstrate Florida’s position as an economic leader,” DeSantis said in a statement.

The law doesn't say he can't run for president while governor, it says he has to resign if he wins, and that would be no later than inauguration day. Of course he would do just that.
But as I read the law, if he runs and loses, he might still have to resign.

The sad thing is if Trump and DeSantis teamed up ,they could both destroy Biden! Instead DeSantis took a swing at the Maga leader and has ruined any chance of uniting everyone against the communists. DeSantis is not going to get the independent rust belt voters that Trump pulled in. Trump joining with DeSantis may quell some of the rebellion from neoCONs. But DeSantis just couldn’t be a team player.
Trump is not perfect. He messed up bad on covid. But he’s the only chance to take on the deep state communists that are destroying our country and for that he has my vote no matter what. DeSantis appears to be aligning with the neoCON globalists aka the deep state. He has done great things in Florida, so it’s a shame to see him run to the Bush family and Paul RYNO types for support on the national level.
If Chomskyite nutjobs support Trump it begs the question: do conservatives want that stink on us?
And yet, plenty of people on Free Republic are very critical of him. Many seem to be viewing everything he does based on the idea that he may run for president.
It’s just team sportization of politics. Many of the biggest and most vocal Trumpers supported Cruz over Trump at some point. They’ll never admit that now of course.
THIS is a gynormous mistake.
