The Power Of Climate Optimists: Flip The Narrative, Change The Future
Forbes ^ | April 18, 2023 | by Avivah Wittenberg-Cox

The headlines we ingest every day too often create a sad, circular cycle of despair, despondency and inaction. Which then worsens the trends. Nowhere is this more true than on the existential issue of climate change. Yet there is good news on climate, including this weekend’s G7 agreement “to accelerate the phase out of unabated fossil fuels so as to achieve net zero in energy systems by 2050.” It didn’t make the front page.

A handful of determined optimists have been working hard to offer an alternative to the steady diet of doom about the climate. Will they help turn the tide?

Adapting to the climate challenge facing us requires us believing we can. As Henry Ford succinctly summarised, “whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re usually right.” Marcy Franck, through her 4-year-old newsletter The Climate Optimist, shares three messages:

1. We can do this, in fact we are.

2. It isn’t a sacrifice. It will be cleaner, cheaper, and healthier for all.

3. If you are hearing different, ask who profits.

If you are feeling, like so many, that the world is going to hell in a hand basket, know that your attitude may be contributing to our collective future. Get to know some of these climate optimists. It may just change your attitude - and your impact.

Clever extension of the climate hoax. Accept the premise of the hoax and obey our global masters: and we will then all be happier eating bugs, in unheated homes, living in primitive conditions without adequate food or energy. Paradise on earth. I feel better already.

>>3. If you are hearing different, ask who profits.

Who profits:

Scammer “green” energy companies (Solyndra was the model, but there are plenty of others) and the politicians their execs contribute to in large dollar amounts, primarily Democrats.

Scammers like Al Gore and Barack Obama, who own multi-million dollar homes on coastlines that would be the first to be flooded if some of the Climate Scammers’ pronouncements came true.

Losers would be all of us who use energy. You cannot power modern civilization on wind and solar.

Here's the best way to be optimistic about climate change:

The Modern Warm Period (global warming since the 1800's) is real and is a good thing. Just like prior warm periods. It's when we experience the best crop yields, the most predictable rain patterns, and less deaths by plague. We knew this until the climate scam of the 1970's when they warned us it was over and a new ice age was beginning. That didn't work so beginning in the late 1980's they started telling us global warming was somehow a bad thing. That's just as big a lie as the lie that the Modern Warm Period was already over.

People living during the centuries long cooling periods would have gladly swapped places with us if they could have. So enjoy the Modern Warm Period while it lasts (probably another 2 to 4 centuries IMHO).

I’m not sure it’s proper to say “Earth” has a climate, or, if it does, that there is a reliable and consistent way to measure it for comparative purposes with previous epochs.

The planet has lots of climates, and it’s reasonable to believe that they have effects on each other. For example, when the Sahara became a desert, it had a knock-on effect in Arabia. When the ice sheets melted, it flooded Southeast Asia.

But all these REGIONAL climates are constantly changing. The Domesday book in 1086 AD recorded wine vinyards in Scotland, where it is still too cold today to grow grapes.

To unify all these regional climates into a single PLANETARY “climate”, and then to claim you can measure it and predict its future based on a single input (human generated carbon dioxide) is going way beyond what “climate science” could possibly deliver.

“by 2050”

They’ve already propagandized all the kids to believe the world will end by 2030, so this isn’t going to matter I think. It’s much easier to propagandize the masses to believe something false than it is to convince them to stop believing that false thing later.

Wow, really going for the Big Lie here! That's not even true of their precious EVs.
