“Instead I will say this. Democrats never snipe at each other. You never hear of a leading Democrat criticizing Biden, or slamming Newsom.”

You do not see dissent in Communist party politics, nor when Nazi’s were in power. Tyrants do not allow dissent. Republicans are as the Founding Fathers envisioned in their arguments.

Why is a governor putting his book tour ahead of what he was elected to do? It has always bothered me when any politician puts getting a job over doing their current job.

You want to be potus, then get in, all the way in and resign from your current job.

Low Energy Jeb
Lyin Ted Cruz
Liddle Marco Rubio

Those were people on the 2016 Presidential R polls

Those were Trump’s competitors..
DeSantis has people believing he’s the #2 guy in the 2024 Presidential polls..

That’s not Trump’s fault.

That’s also not weak to attack your opponents.
DeSantis got played into having to play by Trump’s rules

He doesn’t get to just wait to announce before he’s attacked.

Trump looks at polls.
That’s what Trump does...

Or were you absent through the 2015/2016 election cycle?

Opponents in primaries criticize each other. The whining by some DeSantis supporters about DeSantis being criticized is cringeworthy.

On the contrary, it's the OnlyTrumpers here who have decreed that Trump is above criticism

Stating the there are Trump supporters that think that Trump is above criticism doesn't deny the two above points that I stated.

"2024 is going to be different!" they tell us. "He's learned his lessons and now he's really gonna drain the swamp!"

Draining the swamp isn't easy. DC is infested. Both parties. People like Paul Ryan as Speaker were a big obstacle. Trump no longer is fooled by Paul Ryan and those types. Conversely DeSantis remains aligned with Paul Ryan. At least Trump now understands how deep the swamp is.

Add to that at least we know that Trump is willing to take the personal risks, his personal liberty, to fight the swamp.

The Dems have succeeded in getting conservatives to fight like a bunch of silly 3 year olds. This place is turning to a kindergarten class when it comes to Trump. Trump will burn the whole house down with him.

Trump World loves to dish it out but they never want to take it. How many months did Trump sit silently in his mansions while his J6ers rotted away in solitary?

Trump tried to work with the RINOs in DC and they sabotaged his presidency, They also sabatoged the 2020 mid term elections.

Their actions of "burning down the house" has been pretty well documented here.

Yet here you are still pushing the Karl Rove/Paul Ryan talking point.

The intention of the bait-and-switch is to encourage purchases of substituted goods, making consumers satisfied with the available stock offered, as an alternative to a disappointment or inconvenience of acquiring no goods (or bait) at all, and reckoning on a seemingly partial recovery of sunk costs expended trying to obtain the bait. It suggests that the seller will not show the original product or service advertised but instead will demonstrate a more expensive product or a similarly priced but lower quality product. In either case, the seller expects to earn a higher margin on the substitute product

Kinda like when Trump said he would drain the swamp, and yet continued to surround himself with their denizens. Or like when he promised a vaccine, and delivered what we have, and still pimped the vaccine.

I've been through Ian, Irma, and Nicole while here in the great state of Florida. His leadership during these difficult times can not be questioned. Have watched him take the slings and arrows from the media and those in his own party during the beginning and height of Covid insanity when he wisely segregated those most vulnerable in the elderly. His immediate cautionary reaction following the limited knowledge available to close the state and adhere to CDC guidelines, then making strong leadership decisions to open the state, open schools, reject mandatory vaccinations, and make full use of all available alternative (read: effective) treatment methods to the people of this state. He's got his bonafides with regard to leadership, especially with regards to decisions that fly in the face of conventional wisdom. So piss off with this garbage, and stop buying the leftist medias crap.

Hmmm, from my memory Ronald Reagan was mostly, if not completely above petty name-calling, and I don't recall Dubya being nearly as aggressively mouthy as McCain.

Mister Trump, indeed, seems quite fearful of Gov DeSantis. If I were advising Trump, I'd suggest he focus on the dozens of major national issues, (avoiding nonsensical boasts such as his being able stop the Ukraine war in 24 hours, and etc.) and to avoid pottying on fellow GOPers. If Trump wins the nom, he needs a bigger than big tent.

No matter who wins the GOP nom, that candidate will need all of us to unite to win. Our contenders are good people with similar messages however with different diplomatic skills and awareness of situations to offer to attract a wide range of voters and to achieve important goals.

There's another thing.

The more we attack each other (e.g., "DeSantis-bots" and etc) the less united we become. We are on the same team, we are just not in agreement over who should be our quarterback.

.

Deplorables and MAGA know who their elected leader is..

The guy who got spied on by your team.

Your govt team. Rs and D’s..

That’s the team that’s fighting Trump

It’s MAGA vs Rs and D’s..

Trump had to infiltrate one of the swamp parties.
The former Democrat billionaire chose the R team..

The R team that gave the country Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, Romney before Trump

All of those R, minus Dole, were Anti Trump, Anti MAGA, Anti Deplorables..

That’s the team that wants anybody but Trump
They include Rs and D’s and have been since 2015 when Trump announced..

That’s when your team started to spy on him..

I want the voters, not the politicians and/or candidates to select our GOP nom.

It's that simple.

I look forward to debates, substantive speeches (detailing red-meat, critical issues), and reasons candidates give to persuade voters to select them. I recoil at the petty stuff, and there are many life-long GOP voters just like me.

You are not going to get MAGA voters behind someone other than Trump, if Trump is running..

MAGA voters are aware of the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama era.

We’re in it again because of a stolen election.

Trump should be in the Oval Office today, not running.

That’s a problem your GOP has.

Enjoy the campaign season!

I was 10 miles away from the Ft. Laud airport that afternoon. I was in that zone 3 hours and not all day. It was raining. It rains in Florida. I saw one intersection with the signals out. I believe an isolated area was hugely drenched. But it wasn’t a Florida disaster or a national disaster. My Ft.Laud friends tell me it wasn’t a big deal.
Sorry Donnie boy, you are peddling a false accusation. BTW, until Wednesday we have been in a major drought with very little rain since Christmas Day. A vacationer’s dream. I was in the Swamps 45 miles North of that area today, the water level is only marginally higher that Tuesday when I was also there.

https://www.wptv.com/news/state/broward/gov-ron-desantis-declares-state-of-emergency-in-broward-county-amid-record-flooding

Gov. Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency in Broward County, which endured record-breaking rainfall that caused extreme flooding.

The state of emergency allows for the support of Florida resources to assist with the severe flooding.

Which is it?
The governor’s statement references it as a ‘disaster’...

Does localized disasters make a difference to Floridians?

My experience Wed, and that of my friends that live in Broward, was that for most of Broward it was a Spring rain. Obviously, somewhere near the airport got a deluge. I will say that there has been a “run” on gasoline here as of late this afternoon so maybe the Port has disruption...it is very close to the airport. But when Donnie made his claim there was no indication that a Spring rain required DeSantis be in Tallahassee or S. Florida. He was throwing mud for the sake of being disruptive.
