She feels that her daughter was not protected by LAUSD administrators.
I'm sorry for this recent immigrant mother who "Through a translator, Perez said the pain in her heart over the loss of her child gets bigger every day" is making a futile effort concerning fentanyl in America. Charge the dealers with murder or attempted murder. This mom is going to hit the taxpayer jackpot through the death of her child.
Death penalty for dealing fentynal.
Problem solved.

Unfortunately for Ms. Ramos, California is going in the other direction. You will be charged with a crime if you use the term “drug dealers.” They must be called “drug workers.”
The reason we have so much OD death is that recreational (illegal) use is rampant and everyone wants to blame someone else....EXCEPT the drug-taking person himself.
Remember, if demand dried up then ODs, turds on sidewalks, worthless bums in tents on city sidewalks, Hep C, AIDS, lots of murders, and lots of school problems and work problems would go away immediately.
Fentanyl vending machines and revolving door rehab programs seem to be making the problem worse.
My sympathy to the mother for her loss. But any law that California passes would just be for show. She must remember that the Governor, the prepubescent boy toy named Gavin said publicly that we all need to self medicate once in a while. That statement is supportive of the right of her daughter to self medicate.
“Death penalty for dealing fentynal.”
I’d like to see parents, neighborhoods, towns and states solve their drug problems and I don’t need to know how they do it.
Trump years ago was asked how the rowdies were controlled in an area that he was familiar with, and he said, “the cops were tough”.
