DeSantis faces triple-threat from Trump: GOP analysts warn Florida governor has yet to dazzle on campaign trail, can't use most of his $110m war chest for 2024 - and has cratered in polls after Trump indictment

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's stalling 2024 campaign has been hit by a triple threat - his perceived coldness, fundraising issues - and a resurgent Donald Trump.

While DeSantis is still widely-hailed as an exceptionally-capable lawmaker, his apparent inability to connect with voters on the campaign trail outside Florida has some GOP bigwigs wondering if he has the sparkle necessary to win a presidential race.

Longtime Republican strategist Mike Murphy is among those fearful over the Florida governor's struggles with so-called 'grip-and-grin' politics.

I think there probably was, and I think it was big enough to flip the election in a few States.

FLT-bird did a good job of addressing what I'm talking about.

Let's say, for the sake of discussion that all six states that Trump's team claimed cheating in did in fact have cheating, at a level that flipped the vote.

What is the strategy for winning next time? The Dem winning steak continued in most of those states throughout 2022. The Dems control the process in most or all of them.

Trump's team was not effective in challenging the cheating in 2020. And, i would say he wasn't effective in comminicating about it either. Sydney Powell sounded daft, all these claims about voting machines being rigged, that just sort of evaporated.

There are a couple possibilities: maybe the Dems have perfected vote cheating and these states are unavailable to the GOP now. No matter how strong the GOP candidates vote, the Dems will cheat enough to guarantee themselves victory. That's demotivating, if that's the case the country's elections are a farce, and it's pointless to waste time voting. Grim.

A more optimistic view is that the Dems have a limited ability to stuff. They can only flip close elections.

In that case you need a candidate who can win in a wave election, totally overcoming the cheating with a big margin of victory.

Trump had two elections and both were close. He only won in 2020 by about 80,000 votes in the Swing states. And then lost in 2022 in a super close race.

Because most people already have their minds made up about Trump, I expect a Trump 2024 race to end up like the last two. A close race, and close enough fur he Dems to steal in several states again.

That's why I'm own to someone else, someone who can create a wave and beat the 'margin of cheat".

My opinion Trump isn't that guy.

“Of course none of it matters if the election is just stolen which will happen to any repub that’s not deep state approved.”

If the Dems will steel elections from Trump, they’ll steal it from ANY Republican. That’s who they are.

Has DeSantis formally declared his candidacy yet?

Unfortunately, I lean to the grim side. I don’t blame this on Trump, rather I blame it on the RNC machine. They are playing checkers and playing nice while the democrats play to win. They will lie, cheat and steal to get the W.

Trump can only affect so much. I don’t see DeSantis being a wave guy and I still have major concerns over who is funding him. MAJOR concerns. BUT, I continue to watch as things unfold and I am keeping an open mind.

It's going to be hard for Trump to campaign from ADX Florence, a 21st Century St. Helena

The article is too short sighted. DeSantis should take, and may be taking, the longhaul approach of speaking nationwide and building up his record. As good as Trump is, he cannot be around forever.

I’m hoping he’s prepping for 2028.

The 2020 election was somewhat of a fluke because many states allowed rule changes without state congressional approval to the voting process due to COVID.

Ironically [yeah, right], many of those rule changes favored the Democrats.

More Dem states have adopted a ‘vote until we win’ policy by extending precinct closing times and even mail-in/drop-off dates. And there is ‘ballot harvesting’, which most never heard of until the 2020 election.

If similar arbitrary rule changes are allowed in 2024, the Dem will likely win.

Trump is going to pick somebody else to be his running mate. Hopefully it will be Kari Lake.

What you fail to realize until the CHEATING is stopped in all States it does not matter who runs. If you think FJB is the legitimate President.......YOU ARE AN IDIOT.

This Country is almost done. The ONLY way to save it is a Civil War. Don’t think these Communists/Socialists are going away if they lose an election. They are here to stay and have infiltrated every aspect of our government, media, education system, entertainment system and more.

Unless this evil is removed from America it will ONLY GET WORSE and eventually kill this Country! This is WHY our Christian Founders gave us the 2nd Amendment!

Ecclesiastes 3:8
A time for war and a time for peace.

Your vote MEANS NOTHING!!!!!
