Capitol Police escorting people into the building isn’t exactly what I would call a riot. More like a guided tour with a few people wandering from the herd to see things for themselves.
Sauntering, meandering, wandering, rioting — which words don’t go together? Hint: three of them were what nearly all of the “insurrectionists” were doing.
A *riot* is now opening the desks and looking to see what is inside. Not setting them afire, nor even tossing them around, but just reading what was in front of them. You can argue its appropriateness, but it is not a riot.
How’d you like the guys calmly sifting through brochures and carefully taking single samples, or the other guy who saw a coat rack pushed over and carefully stood it back up?
