Sorry, I read these stats and think, if your only source of knowledge is school... your kids won’t amount to much. I worked and raised kids and always kept abreast of what they did in school. Taught them additional subjects, such as actual world history, philosophy and art, second language,just so they received a basis in the humanities. Additionally, I had my dad train them in chess... gave them a terrific advantage in mathematics.
I told my kids from Day One, you are responsible for your education, not the school, not the teachers, they are there to supplement your education.
