A few years back, I saw video and pictures of one of them crashing while practicing for an air show. The Pilot ejected sideways about a second before it hit the ground. Another rocket on the ejection seat turned it upright and got a bit of height. The pilot ended up hurt, but not life threatening injuries.
That was one of the few pieces that was not made by Lucas in that Canadian version of the aircraft - it’s a Martin-Baker NACES ejection seat, same as is used in our F-18s.
