Wall Street Journal: US should send Abrams tanks to Taiwan, not Ukraine
Teller Report ^ | 1/23/23 | Daniel Samet

Posted on 01/24/2023 7:00:37 AM PST by JonPreston

The United States needs to send Abrams tanks to Taiwan, not Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by columnist for The Wall Street Journal Daniel Samet.

The journalist called Ukraine an example of the failure of the containment policy, and also added that Taiwan now plays a more important role in ensuring the security and well-being of the United States.

“All the tanks that we can allocate should go to Taipei,” RIA Novosti quoted Samet as saying.

Excuse me you have some other source writing about what the WSJ quoted someone else as saying.

Here you go silly flack. It's behind a Wall Street Journal paywall, but be my guest posting it yourself. You've backed the wrong globalist war, and now be prepared to be reminded of it daily.

The government is taking away their farms and sending them to Siberian labor camps?

The Wagner Group are convicts who will become freemen after they complete their enlistment. The Cossacks were serfs who became freemen after they completed their enlistment. As adventurers and fur traders, the Cossacks went on to conquer Siberia and the Russian Far East for the czar.

Taiwan worked with Israel and South Africa to develop nukes for South Africa. I bet the price for help was a few nukes of their own, under the table of course.

As I was scrolling down the articles, I saw the one on sending Abrams tanks to Ukraine and I immediately thought ‘no, hold on to them because Taiwan may need them.’ About 5-10 articles later, I see this one.

Kaliningrad is in the heart of Europe with nukes pointed and minutes away from every European capital. And has been for decades. Russia even developed low flying hypersonic missiles to beat their missile defense.

If anyone had a right to “feel threatened”, it was the Europeans for all those decades. Yet not a single shot was fired at Russia until they crossed into 30+ year globally recognized soverign terrority of Ukraine

The “Feeling Threatened” line is absolute horseshite and this was purely a move for prime territory.

Unfortunately for them, they miscalculated the 1 week victory, got bogged down for nearly a year and haven’t made any gains in months...

I understand that its near 50-50 in opinion to rejoin the two with each other in Taiwan.

That is why Japan has started its massive military build up.

The Japanese are the key in that region.

Sure it is. Keep telling yourself that.

One can only speculate what Merkel is thinking here, shaking uncontrollably next to US backed President of the former state of Ukraine.

Angela Merkel OK After Visibly Shaking Next to Ukrainian President

Powerful people in Europe of going to demand answers from Merkel regarding her stance on Minsk II. They are going to demand answers to who was responsible for the Maidan Coup.

They are going to demand answers to who destroyed Nord I and Nord II.

They are going demand answers from Americans who preapprove of all wars and all malicious behavior around the globe.

Give the tanks to Ukraine. China won’t do anything to Taiwan without our permission, or we can destroy them by blockades and boycotts.

Taiwan is not much of a tank-friendly environment.

Taiwan is politically divided down the middle as to how they want to deal with China, with half the country seeming to prefer an accommodation with China. When the Ukraine war started up there were many protests with Taiwanese protesters saying under no circumstances did they want to become the next Ukraine, after seeing what is transpiring there.

They have no intention of fighting to the last Taiwanese to further US global hegemony, they aren’t quite as stupid as the Ukrainians. So good luck expecting them to fight China to any great extent risking the loss of life and property, this seems more like a neocon fantasy. My guess is Taiwan would roll over quick and the best the US could do at that point is use any Chinese invasion as an excuse to enforce sanctions against China. But seeing as to how non-Western countries have ignored the current sanctions against Russia, I wouldn’t expect them to honor sanction against China either.

USA supports people that want to live more like Americans do. With greater fundemental rights and liberty. It’s that simple.

I am originally from Russia and NOBODY wants to live under their system except a few oligarchs and old senile people still under spell of the soviets. The only reason it exists is you are forbidden to speak against it under threat of being sent to a gulag.

All the best and brightest that were able to left that hellhole years ago and they are losing because of it...

It remains fascinating to me that you and your isolationist brethren at FR are content to observe the alignment of Russia and China against the US.

You do not think ‘our resources’ should be used to stop them.

You think ‘they’ will stop at some unknown border with their aggression.

Your think we are absolutely safe and any defense of those ‘other countries’ is an insult to your patriotism.

I do not think your opinion is reasonable . Russia and China do want to destroy us. Taking Taiwan and Ukraine are important steps toward that goal.

And I am fascinated by the shock Bush Globalists are expressing, when after all they are the compassionate conservatives who gave us the Free Trade, and the "WTO for China" poison pill. I told your comrades back in 1992 that Ross Perot was right when it came to American trade policies, and that your promotion of globalism would cause the disastrous scenario we see today. Unfortunately I was right and you remain a compassionate conservative who would have trouble finding your butt with both hands.

Globalist Free Traitors™ STUPIDLY move the means of high tech production to an island a few miles offshore of China. These myopic greedy bastards suck.

The US and its Western allies are realistically bankrupt with unpayable debt they’ll never be able to pay down, so how do you expect them to finance these various military adventures? How has that neocon foreign policy worked out for us so far? Trillions down the hole only to tuck tail after a bunch of goat herders chased us out of Afghanistan after 20 long years. A land war isn’t feasible against either one of these countries, so do you propose using nukes? I swear some of you war mongers are totally out of your minds and divorced from reality.

These Free Traitors are awful people who have caused the destruction of middle class America along with millions of deaths in illegal and unwanted wars. I’m surprised that have the cajones to show their faces in public.
