Walter Shaub, ethics chief in the Obama administration, called out President Joe Biden on Tuesday for improperly retaining classified documents.
Biden, according to Shaub, demonstrated an "inexcusable neglect of the most basic security protocols." Still, Shaub downplayed the seriousness of Biden's actions by drawing a comparison to former President Donald Trump.
"It's nothing like Trump’s deliberate refusal to return classified records demanded by the National Archives," Shaub told Fox News, "but Biden’s own retention of classified records reflects an inexcusable neglect of the most basic security protocols."

Obama specifically put Joey in charge of Ukraine, which means he was in possession of everything, from the highest level of security, to the lowest, that dealt with that country. How much else is missing from every bit of intelligence that was created on Ukraine during those 8 years? We even saw how Biden was one of the individuals who requested Michael Flynn’s identity be revealed in intelligence reports. Biden was in on more shit than we'll ever know.

Thanks. It seems that the closer the midterm elections got, the DOJ needed to do something to put the kabbash on Trump’s influence on the midterms. Thus they decided to claim negotiations had broken down in June. They then dragged their feet, and didn’t enforce the search warrant until August...3 months before the midterms. And then of course they leaked bullshit stuff to the NY Slimes immediately afterwards that continued throughout the election cycle.

Undoubtedly other presidents have intentionally or unintentionally mishandled classified docs (Trump did not) and the situation was either silently corrected or just ignored. There has been no precedent that I’m aware of for what they did to him.

Yes, Biden can declassify documents. First, W. Bush signed an order saying so, and then Obama amended that order. VP can declassify documents that he was involved in while he’s in office carrying out his duties.

if you “accidentally” leave documents unattended and people from foreign governments “accidentally” stumble upon them, you most certainly cannot be held responsible for any wrongdoing.

The documents implicate Obama in a criminal activity and are therefore unethical.

Also, Trump was legally permitted to have them in the first place, and Biden wasn’t.

Only a few more days and Kamala will be in a position to serve ten years. It’ll never happen, but technically it’ll be possible.
My understanding is, Biden could have legally “checked them put” so to speak, initially, but only under the promise to keep them in his close possession, and return them as soon as possible. For example, to take them home for one evening, and carefully secure there when not being directly looked at, but under the trust they would be returned the next morning. That may be how someone found out he still had them, but a lot of that sort of thing is unfortunately done on the honor system.
However there is a possibility that the documents were flat out stolen, with no record of them being taken, or plan to ever return them. If that had happened though, I think it’s less likely they would have kept them in the folders with the prominent labels, which brings attention to them, but it’s still possible when dealing with idiots like this.

Maybe. Hubby never heard of it, and his whole career he had T.S. clearance, and Q clearance the last five years.
He said he’d be in the Graybar Hotel for decades if that ever happened.
