Agreed, this seems like an intentional move to rearrange the ‘24 race and find a suitable candidate.....unless Joe thought his admissions would avoid an impeachment whereas hiding them would improve the chance he’d be impeached.

This tact gets Joe off the hook —his primary concern—while unfortunately absolving Trump....a minor price to pay.
I actually think Biden, after all his years in DC getting away with his corruption and lying, thought he was above the law and he could get away with this, too.
