Justice Gorsuch joins three liberal justices on Supreme Court’s Title 42 decision

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch formed an unlikely alliance with the high court’s three liberal justices on Tuesday in breaking with the majority’s decision to temporarily keep the Title 42 border policy in place.

“The current border crisis is not a COVID crisis,” Gorsuch said in his dissent, joined by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

“Courts should not be in the business of perpetuating administrative edicts designed for one emergency only because elected officials have failed to address a different emergency,” he added. “We are a court of law, not policymakers of last resort.”

While they did not join Gorsuch’s dissenting opinion, Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan noted that they would also deny the application from 19 Republican state attorneys general to keep the controversial, Trump-era immigration policy in place.

In a 5-4 decision on Tuesday, the high court granted the states’ request to temporarily block and expedite its review of a lower court ruling that ordered the Biden administration to end Title 42.

Gorsuch is trying to be consistent when the issues of the cancellation of student loans comes before SCOTUS on the merits, and he’s right.

When we have illegitimate elections, then the laws passed by the illegal usurpers are not valid.

Sometimes dissents are written to send a message when to outcome will not be affected, as Gorsuch did here.

But title 42 is the only (weak) defense we have against the wave of illegals!

Unfortunately, it's the only one we have for now.

If the RATS are going to dump Title 42 because the Dempanic is over, then it’s time to stop the Banana Republic Mail Order style electoons. The Banana ballots were created so the dildos with no I.D. could vote illegally and often. That crap has got to stop. The GOOBs need to get off their asses and get something done about the stolen electoons. The first thing they need to do is MAN UP and admit electoons are being stolen by their pals, the RATS.

“Screw your alleged principals, gorsuch. we are under attack from communists and our country is under invasion.”

Sadly the generations now are simply UNABLE to process the above. They’re so damn brainwashed that they’re paranoid that Russia is going to march on our shores, they are simply unable to see what their own government is doing to them (including a fair number here) - and that includes Gorsuch, obviously.

The most consistently conservative justices, Alito and Thomas, were selected by the younger and the older Bush, respectively. Both the Bushes and Reagan made both moderate/liberal and conservative choices for the Supreme Court, to balance the competing wings of the Republican Party. However, Trump's choices for the high court, while all considered conservative, have not been nearly as consistent as Alito and Thomas. I don't know if we can blame Trump, as the choices had to be vetted by Senate Republican leader McConnell and the Federalist Society, a member of Conservatism, Inc.

The problem is that Gorsuch is trying to follow the law, which is what a SCOTUS justice is supposed to do, rather than trying to stick the finger in the dike, which is what Congress and the Prez are supposed to do, and won’t.

The left doesn’t give a damn, of course; the only issue to them is the revolution, and drowning the nation in illegal immigrants and felons aids the revolution.

While Gorsuch has a valid argument, it would have helped if he had understood that the SC "shall have" original jurisdication in cases between the states and agreed to hear Texas v universe on the 2020 election.

But, he chickened out when a bit of fortitude could have addressed a host of national ills resulting form denying citizens the ballot box to fix a wayward government.

“To be frank, Gorsuch is right.
But title 42 is the only (weak) defense we have against the wave of illegals!”

Bingo, Using title 42 long term to mitigate illegal migration is a judicial stretch. But, as they say, all ports in a storm so......
