So suspect was making specific threats, had a bomb (federal crime with year ticket), multiple weapons in 2021. Why the hell was he out to commit any more crimes? Was he given the usual pass, or recruited then for future operations and let loose?, with the prior crimes held over his head for leverage?
Had he been convicted he'd have been barred from having guns as a convicted felon, a situation the pro-gun side accepts and the anti-gun side claims would have rendered him incapable of doing this. So if the past allegations were true, unless he was charged, tried and acquitted the question becomes which enabling, weak on crime, prosecutor left him capable.
