Should Trump be running for president? Say what you want about him, but he's not afraid to tell the truth, even when it hurts

Now that Donald Trump has formally announced he's in for 2024, let's weigh the truth or otherwise of his words based on independent evidence.  This is essential to consider his fitness for becoming president again, as he was relentlessly accused of being a serial liar.

The media

Trump called the media the enemy of the people.  Empirically, trust in the media is at an all-time low as the majority thinks reporters "purposely try to mislead people."

The burial of the Hunter Biden laptop story that broke before the election is the only case required to determine the nature of our media.  Ask: What efforts did the media make when the story broke in the N.Y. Post to assess its factual basis?

If it was "Russian disinformation," what evidence led to such a conclusion?

How do they explain the long gap from their initial decision not to report it to the time when the N.Y. Times admitted that it was "authentic"?

Have they tried, through their "sources," to find out the identity of the "big guy"?

According to the American Press Institute, journalism's "essence is a discipline of verification," as the journalistic "method is objective, not the journalist."  The mainstream press has failed this test.  Worse, the N.Y. Times failed by its own standards.  It did not tell its readers "the complete, unvarnished truth."  It flouted its own standard of transparency: "Don't allow your audience to be deceived by acts of omission."  This was not journalism "without fear or favor," but journalism "with hatred to cause harm."  Bullied, Bari Weiss quit the Times.

Americans voted without crucial information about the fitness of a senile old man for the country's highest office.  The media succeeded and changed the course of American history.

I am for the Tea Party like movement that Trump, DeSantis, Lake and others support. I am not particular to the leader. Trump has done a great job albeit with some errors. If he continues as the leader of the movement I will support him. But I think the movement is what matters and its not all about Trump.

Trump needs to be more like Elon Musk...not out in front all the time......

It gets old after a while...

When Musk tweets people pay attention

Your phases 1 through 7 mention nothing about destroying “the most inclusive and exhaustive election fraud operation in the history of US politics.”

Until that is addressed, 7 ain’t happening.

Hadn’t heard that. Critical mistake. I like his business policies and negotiation skills, not him.

I haven’t heard Trump tell the truth about the deadly Covid vaccine. He still insists that it was a great achievement of his administration, not his worst mistake.

If that were true, they wouldn’t be so terrified of him. They would welcome his campaign instead of trying to pass a law to prevent him from running.

I listened to President Trump’s announcement Tuesday. Every word of it.

He spoke the plain truth about the condition of America.

I’ll bet that darn near no one bashing him afterwords — and that goes for ‘Rats as well as Pubs — bothered to actually listen to him.

I like Desantis and Youngkin and other Republican stalwarts as well. But I have not heard the same degree of plain speaking out of any of those.

Yes, he is a “construction guy from Queens” and not a “polished” triangulating politician. But he loves America and what’s more, he loves Americans and wants what’s best for us and sometimes that “construction guy” personality is just what is needed. I support him.

Its worse than that.

The “51” intelligence experts never stated that the Hunter laptop was Russian disinformation. The letter that was released stated that the STORY about Hunter’s laptop had ‘all the earmarks’ of a Russian disinformation campaign. This allow the same a-holes to look straight into a camera today and state that what they signed was true. It LOOKS like Russian disinformation. But is may not BE Russian disinformation.

And of course the lying Media took the appearance of disinformation and made it into a fact of disinformation in the blink of an eye.

That was made clear in his speech…..but don’t know how he does that alone.

That “law” will never be enacted, and I predict that the very corrupt Democrats will not even indict Trump. For the Corruptocrats, like their Stalinist mentors, justice is always secondary to politics. Now that they realize that Trump is their meal ticket for a 2024 win, he will be allowed to run unimpeded by “justice”.

That's a hell of a gamble for them to take from their perspective.

Not afraid to tell the truth, even when it hurts

Agree he talks like a man who knows what’s going on and repairs required.
The ones who don’t like him are utopian and and socialists who like fluff talk like Clinton Obama.
Trump and Reagan are the two greatest presidents in modern times
A presidents job is to tell it like it is even mean tweets.
