Gov. Gretchen Whitmer defeated Republican challenger Tudor Dixon on Tuesday, securing her bid for re-election and keeping a Democrat atop the critical swing state, NBC News projects.
Whitmer, who gained a national following during the early days of the pandemic and is viewed as a future contender for higher office, had been seen as a top target for Republicans in 2022.
Polls tightened over the closing weeks. But Whitmer held on, boosted by tens of millions of dollars in ad spending that Dixon, a former right-wing commentator endorsed by former President Donald Trump, never matched.

Once again the Republican party failed to fund Dixon to anywhere close to the level of support that Witchmer had.
Michigan ALWAYS reelects the incumbent governor. I am still surprised the witch won.
Don’t forget, the top two GOP candidates were DQ’d for ballot signature issues.
With all the hurricane damage down there, you should be able to write your own ticket. Take a week off and just go down there and knock on doors!
It is NOT the GOP’s fault what happened in Michigan. One must never forget that Michigan has plenty of dumbasses with the
IQ of a potato.

I’m here in Michigan and not surprised in the least. James Craig was the only candidate that could have beat Whitmer and he was disqualified because of signatures. Time for Republicans to take the Red Pill.

I’d say at this point, the Michigan GOP architected the loss.
Winning an election should never be about the amount of money spent on a campaign because that will never be the measure of a candidate’s worth.
There is a reason I’ve referred to many in this state as the “Mental Midgets of Michigan” for the last 25 years. I can hardly wait to see the death spiral of this state, from afar.

Craig was chosen at the Michigan Republican State Convention, then was DQ’ed by the SOS claiming forged signatures. supossedly there were almost 69 thousand suspected forgeries (Markey and Johnson were included in this)
This was appealed to the Michigan Supreme Court who voted 6/1 against the Rs.(a political decision which ironically had a D Judge as the dissenter.)

I blame the education system from grade school through college. They’ve been brainwashed through the indoctrination process from teachers and professors. Kids coming out of high school and college don’t have a clue about America really is only that it’s bad from what they’re told.
We’ve gone from the greatest generation to the most pathetic and inept generation in ~80 years. This generation can’t look between their legs and figure out what gender they are.
