I suspect it’s a combo of:
- the Dobbs decision,
- bonehead Miss Lindsey Graham’s abortion bill (that would just get swatted down by USSC)
- Trump pre-announcing run, while ALSO going cult-like on us. (Weird storm sounds during rallies, for example).
WOMEN HATE THIS STUFF. I can understand to a degree the latter two, but it kills me to say that the Dobbs decision drove a lot of liberal women out to vote.
Add in flawed GOP candidates, and this is what you get.
Let’s hope NV & WI hold, AZ flips with Kari’s late surge pulling Blake up, and we unify for the run-off in GA. That would get us to a 52-48 Senate…
Is there a mechanism out there to see how men ONLY voted yesterday? Just a personal curiosity...
His win stuns me almost as much as when the Dems swept Georgia in 2020.
One can only say Pennsylvania is truly a solid Blue state now. They had the the perfect storm of pro-Republican conditions; The economy, inflation, illegal immigration, high crime and above all possibly the worst senate candidate I’ve seen in my 3 score years.
Yet he still wins!!!!!!???
Masyreano dragged the whole PA ticket down. Cost OZ a Senate seat. Horrible canidate.

Trump spent $15 million
Trump raised over $100 million through his PAC, but did not spend it on candidates. Instead, Trump spent it on his legal bills.

The big winner tonight was DeSantis, who turned Florida red
The GOP establishment went with Shapiro. If Trump thought people want him to run in 2024, last night’s results showed that he was more of a liability than a help to the party.
With better candidates and if he had just retired gracefully, lasts night might have been different.
The Democrats successfully turned the election into a referendum on him rather than it being on their failures.
They beat the historical odds and despite losing the House they did better than expected.
So much for ask the boasting of a Red Tsunami. Apart from Florida, the night was a disappointment.
DeSantis should be our canidate.
I can’t knock Trump for what he has done to win this elections. He did put a lot into it.
He went above and beyond.
I’m thinking he should run. If Trump is on the ballot, he will lose.
People don’t want him and he should call off his re-election bid.
Several of his endorsed candidates lost, despite campaigning for them.

Know this: McConnel spent $100 million on senate races. Trump spent less than $15 million.
Democrats only need Georgia or Nevada to hold control of the Senate

Except I think De Santis will be ready. After Trump “teasing” his intentions before the work of WINNING this election was done, I do not think he has a chance. He is polarizing and he is somewhat childish. As we have seen tonight, some people will elect absolute morons and re-elect fascists rather easily than consider anyone from the “Trump” camp. They will not vote for DJT in 2024.
I love what Trump did but listening lately, I do not hear the same things from him. I hear a lot of posturing and ego.
That is NOT what gained him victory in ‘16.
